She has worked as an actress for over 25 years but achieved international fame in 2006 when she took a leading role in Univision’s television series “La Fea Más Bella” with her real life mother Angélica María. Vale’s singing talent is also featured on the soundtrack for the soap opera, which, according to its Nielsen rating in 2006, became Univision’s number one TV program.
As a child, Vale portrayed the daughter of Mexican superstar Rigo Tovar in the movie “El Gran Triunfo” (1981). In 1998, she portrayed Julieta in “Soñadoras,” and in 2001, she portrayed the character of Wendy Nayeli Pérez in “Amigas y Rivales.”
As a comedian, Vale was one of the main celebrity impersonators in the comedy show “La Parodia” from 2000 to 2005. In 2007, Vale made a special guest appearance in the season finale of ABC’s Emmy Award-winning “Ugly Betty.”
Why do I support Ronald McDonald House Charities?
“I am very proud and honored to be part of Ronald McDonald House Charities. It is the greatest feeling in the world to see a child’s face light up with a big smile, knowing you’ve been able to lend a hand is truly a wonderful thing. My heart is with the children and their families and I am happy to do anything I can to make a difference in their lives.” —Angélica Vale
