Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo
Beginning with the release of Ne-Yo’s platinum debut, “In My Own Words,” in 2006, the Las Vegas native revealed his talent as a songwriter and performer. He’s penned such hits as Rihanna’s “Unfaithful” and co-wrote Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable,” which was on the “Billboard Hot 100” list as the number one single for ten weeks.
In addition to his creative contribution to other performers, Ne-Yo has also received accolades for his own work as a singer. He won the prestigious Male R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of the Year award at the 2006 Billboard Awards (where he was also nominated in three other categories, including Male Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and R&B/Hip-Hop Single of the Year), was nominated for two Grammy’s – Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Contemporary R&B Album – and won for Best R&B Male Artist at the BET Awards.
He released his second album this year and is currently composing songs for Celine Dion and Jennifer Hudson.
