BrandSource donates household appliances to Ronald McDonald Houses across the country.
Corporate support helped build the first Ronald McDonald House in 1974, and that same support will help the 63 Houses being built by 2012. Because of corporate partners, the first House in Philadelphia contained seven rooms, and the largest Ronald McDonald House now has 84. Thanks to millions of dollars in corporate donations and countless other forms of support, 10,000 families are served every day by one of the Charity’s core programs.
Ronald McDonald Houses, as well as Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles, wouldn’t be as successful without the support of individuals, foundations and corporations. Support in Action
When Hurricane Katrina destroyed the New Orleans House in August 2005, RMHC national donors helped rebuild it. BrandSource provided new appliances, and Select Comfort donated new mattresses. “The generosity of our donors got us through those darkest days,” says Lynn Giuffria, executive director of RMHC of Greater New Orleans. “We received paint and carpeting — literally the kitchen sink. But even more, they gave us the spirit and will to go on. They reaffirmed how vital our mission is to children and families. Their generosity is monumental.”
As RMHC expands its reach, donors are more essential than ever. The generosity of donors extends beyond product donation to the millions of dollars in direct financial support and sponsorship of local events and global fundraisers. Corporate donors have helped RMHC impact the lives of millions of children.
The employees and associates of RMHC corporate donors volunteer at Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, and serve on local RMHC Boards and advisory committees. Corporate sponsors build awareness and help form new relationships with others who believe in the RMHC mission.
