The Palimore Family Story

Jasmine and her mother stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Houston for a little over a month while she waited for the triplets to be born. Now, the girls—Reagan, Rylee and Rori— are about to celebrate their 4th birthday in January!

While only 15 weeks pregnant with triplets, doctors feared Jasmine would need emergency surgery to prevent a medical condition that could endanger the babies.

What started as a routine ultrasound turned into an urgent trip to another state, as Jasmine immediately boarded a flight. She traveled to Houston, Texas, from her hometown in Atlanta, with her mother by her side. After being in the hospital about 1 week, Jasmine was released without surgery, but was told to stay close to the hospital for regular appointments.

“I’d need an ultrasound every single day for the next 3+ weeks! It was all so sudden. They told me I can't leave Houston, but I also couldn’t stay in the hospital. Confused, scared and nervous, I didn’t know what I would do. Then our social worker told us about RMHC – an inviting place for families who have kids in need of care at nearby hospitals. We learned they also help pregnant mothers who need to stay close to the hospital too!” explained Jasmine.

“RMHC helps keep families together and feel supported throughout their journey. They hold a special place in our hearts.”
